King of Wands and Seven of Pentacles
YOU are in control of your thoughts—or at least you should be. It’s easy to fall prey to negative thinking and thought patterns as we are so ingrained within society to complain and
gossip instead of celebrate and compliment. How many times have you passed by someone and immediately was like “oh gurl, what you thinking?” instead of “You’ve got confidence! Keep it up!”. There is a difference. Don’t believe me? Give it a try for one day. Strike down every negative thought with a compliment. The King of Wands is about being in control and wands for me represent thoughts and are linked to the element of air. We may be chastising ourselves for our negative thoughts OR we could even be suffering from negative thoughts that are simply weighing our spirits down. The above example also is applicable to ourselves. Instead of “I can’t do that. I’m not smart enough.” Say something like, “I am smart and capable of learning all that I need to so I can do that.” It’s all about a shift in thinking. The 7 of Pentacles is all about reaping what you sow so guess what, if you don’t like it, if you feel like you’re being bogged down by negative thinking, YOU are the only one who can change that. Yes, it is very easy to continue those thoughts because 1) inaction or denial/victimization is always easiest and 2) negative thinking can be enhanced by social media, the news, other people…etc. Now is the time to get in control of our lives and our thought patterns become manifestations later. Rein them in. Understand that they are only going to continue unless you decide enough is enough and actively work to change them. Affirmations are wonderful for this. There isn’t a quick fix. It’s like a habit which means it takes time to grow and become natural. In my path, Samhain (31 Oct.) is the New Year so I find this a beautiful time and opportunity to release and start something you want.
