The Sun Reversed
Our success seems so dependent on us being #1 with no competition but this year, we need to understand and recognize that others can be just as good--if not better. Our success is dependent solely on us--not them. There is plenty to go around.
We focus so much time on polishing ourselves (which isn't a bad thing) but once we see others succeeding then we feel jealous, frustrated, annoyed, disheartened, and even unmotivated. Our ego beings shouting, "THIS IS ABOUT ME!!!! LOOK WHAT I'VE ACCOMPLISHED!" We start trying to steal their spotlight which is not only a disservice to them but to ourselves as well. This leads to the comparison game where we constantly check what others are doing and get wrapped up in competition that we only end up suffering.
This year it is important to remember that it doesn't matter what others are doing. Let them succeed. Let them be happy. Focus on yourself...not from a place of ego but of love. Love yourself enough to say, "You're succeeding which is awesome for you. I'll get to my goal--my level of success--with time and effort." Their success doesn't mean you can't and/or aren't successful. There can and will always be more than one person in any given field. Your focuses could be entirely different or just your approaches. Either way, it's okay.
Let yourself shine, Darling. Just don't steal away from the joy of others' hard work. Let them have some limelight too.
