Comfort and Creative Writing

We all know that life isn't always pleasant otherwise we wouldn't appreciate those joyful moments since we'd have nothing to compare them to. This leads us to feeling anger, negativity, frustration, despair but also love, joy, and hope. It's what makes us strive harder, dream bigger, and hope for a better tomorrow. The true discourtesy is when we force ourselves to swallow our emotions and put on a happy face. We lie to others and ourselves, preferring to act as if everything is peachy in our lives.

How can we work towards healing and becoming better when things get swept under the rug? We seek comfort and understanding without wanting to voice our woes. We remove ourselves from our heart and instead trap ourselves within our minds with the thought that we must get a grip on our emotions. That's the complete opposite of what we should be doing. We must work through our emotions so that we may see the truth of a situation. How can we do this? By opening ourselves to our spirits.

Our spirits speak to us through our emotions, our feelings, and through our creative pursuits. When we paint, sing, dance, write, etc. we move back into our hearts and open ourselves up. We no longer seek to close down these wounds but instead use them as ways in which to add depth to our works. We no longer mask the pain but proudly display it. We don't even have to try as just by focusing on the present and losing ourselves in the moment, in the creativity, we naturally open up and can then explore those issues.

This is one reason I believe journaling has become so popular. It is quite effective. Once we begin writing, we begin connecting issues, emotions, and experiences so that we may begin looking at something objectively. We begin realizing how we handled an issue, how it could've been handled, and what changes need to be implemented. We also can gain clarity on what we want, what we desire, and what we need. This is when our spirit begins talking.

We start in the mind, logically writing things down but the deeper we go, the more we work towards our spirit. We begin that inward spiral towards our very core where things may get dark but if we want to ever heal those wounds, it's a place we all must traverse. As we continue our creative projects, we will return from the spiral with a much better perspective .

Today, allow yourself to get creative. Grab a pen and a notebook and journal. Many issues were brought up during this past Full Moon and you still may be feeling somewhat raw from it. I know I am. Take the time to call upon Archangel Azrael to help you heal during this emotional time and call upon Archangel Gabriel to help you interpret and understand any healing messages received during this process. The biggest problem is when we refuse to listen to our spirits and instead allow ego to take over. Now is the time to get out of the head and return to the heart.

Brightest of Blessings,

The Autumn WItch
