Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!
How often do we scroll through social media and wish we had just an ounce of what someone else has? We know we're only seeing their highlights, that there is a much bigger story being told, and yet, despite that, we still want it. We yearn for it.
We feel like we haven't reached those milestones yet so obviously we're doing life wrong--as if we could ever live life wrong. Those milestones have become a checklist that keeps us striving and stressing.
Maybe the business we started isn't nowhere near the level someone else's is. Perhaps we're living in a small apartment while a friend is living in a paid off house. We scroll through pictures and achievements which keeps us at a low vibration because instead of praising what we have done ourselves, where we are at in life, we only see lack. We forget how far we ourselves have come.
Today, honor where you are in your life. Don't use anybody's checklist as a way to judge. This is for you to see what you have accomplished which I'm willing to bet is more than you believed you had. Honor it and give thanks.
Life is so complicated and messy--without disparages in money, resources, relationships, privilege, etc.. We forget about those when we see what others have done. Not everyone has the means to the same trajectory so all because you haven't done it yet doesn't mean you won't ever. Remember that.
Life is a journey. Not a destination. Write down all your achievements, big and small, so you can remember to honor where you are at. What you've done. Then use that to help move you forward. Also remember that your dreams do not have to mirror what society says or what others do. Your dreams ought to be for you.
