It's Friday! Friday! :) Good Friday, Ladies and Gentlemen! If you're like me, you have noticed the days flying by, leaving my head not only spinning but also terribly exhausted due to the time change. Every year it bothers me for about a week but once I get adjusted I'm good. This year has really been a ringer though! These earlier nights have undoubtedly reminded us that the holidays are fast approaching which equals loads of traveling. Groceries, buying presents, visiting friends and family....we tend to spend a good amount of time in the car without the added holiday to-dos. This makes now the perfect time to perform a little magick to protect your car and passengers.
I came up with this spell last year and have had MAJOR success with it. It's actually inspired by HibiscusMoon's Car Protection Sachet which I'll link to at the bottom of this blog post so you can swing by and check it out. Now my car has so much protection magick cast on it that it’s rather hilarious but I take no chances when it comes to not only mine but my passenger’s safety as well. One quick and easy spell for when I’m either travelling further distances or when in a new area is a simple protection shield. I always keep it up but when I’m feeling a bit uneasy, I simply reinforce it and it has never let me down. I also have my own team of Deities whom I call on, if needed. (Oh yeah, I mean business!) LOL.
Now I’m not guaranteeing your luck or experiences will be anything like mine but since using this sachet, I’ve had more green lights in my favor, close calls that were amazingly missed, and overall astounding luck with my car. I’ve had someone speeding in the lane behind me as we were stopped at a light and just by the skin of my teeth, miss my car by switching into a different lane. I’ve had people who were flying through parking lots just happen to suddenly stop. The list goes on but I’m completely grateful for this sachet which never leaves my car. (Disclaimer: if you decide to create your own sachet, based off either mine or your own creation, do remember to drive safely. Magick is not fool-proof and stuff does happen. So, don’t drive like Cruella DeVille then wonder why this sachet didn’t work for you.)
As I watched the video, I kept thinking that I would create one as soon as I had the same ingredients she used before remembering the most important part of a spell is to use what YOU have as well as what feels right. You don’t have to wait for a list of ingredients someone else used. See what else calls to you. I took stock of my magickal cabinet as well as my kitchen cabinet as those herbs and spices work too! I researched magickal correspondences for each of the herbs I did have, and the ones I was specifically drawn to until I had a list of ones that would work for me. The crystals I wanted to use were a no-brainer as I knew precisely which ones I wanted and why. I did mix a small amount of the herbs together in a bowl beforehand to find the right smell as the Fir can make it sweet and Christmas-y which does not invoke feelings of protection to me. It also allowed me to get a feel for the energies together, the appearance, and of course, smell. Personally, a pungent smell triggers a protection response.
The Autumn Witch’s Car Protection Sachet
Ingredients:
Dill—good in protection charms
Balsam Fir—strength (to me meant making the sachet strong, aka powerful)
Cloves—Protection
Basil—Protection
Black Tourmaline—my QUINTESSENTIAL protection stone
Tiger’s Eye—Protection
Clear Quartz—to amplify the energies of the pouch
A small cloth pouch (I used a small burgundy one)
Open sacred space and mix the herbs together in a mortar and pestle. While crushing them, hum your desire loudly until you can feel your entire body vibrate and those vibrations travel into the mortar. Keep doing so until you feel called to stop then place your hands on either side of the mortar and pestle and ask any Deities you normally call upon for protection to help infuse the herbs with protection so that your car will be protected. Then put the herbal mixture into a small cloth pouch you’d chosen.
Next, hold either the crystal or crystal chips in your hands to infuse with your intention. Once this is completed, add them to the bag as well. Tie the stings and hold the pouch within your hands, envisioning what you want to happen (the sachet protecting the vehicle) and see it immediately protecting said car. Place it somewhere in your car (mine was in the glove box).
